Knowing My Blog - Create Your Blog with WordPress
Learning to Use WordPress
Add a Widget - WordPress
A good way to customize our sidebar (sidebar) is using "Widgets".
Wikipédia tells us some of the features they offer: "Among its objectives are to provide easy access to frequently used functions and provide visual information. But widgets can do whatever you want imagination and interact with services and information distributed on the Internet, can be colorful on-screen clock, notes, calculators, calendars, diaries, games, windows with weather information in your city, etc ... "(We see that in different ways we use both our blog and in our PC).
Thus, we interpret that within each Widget will post what we think of, for example, a calendar, recent posts we have entered, the last comment that came to our site, Google AdSense advertising, logos of our sponsors, the pages and / or categories that make up our site, the links we have created a bit of everything, we must make the best possible way this gives us very interesting WordPress.
” y nos aparecerá la siguiente pantalla: To make the process of adding a widget, we must turn to the "Appearance" which will select the "Widgets" and the following screen will appear:

Here we see that we have several alternatives to place on our sidebar (sidebar). Just press "Add", the widget you have chosen will be added to our sidebar and then we just have to save your changes and go.
Some will allow us to edit and rename them, such as "Pages" can edit it and put "Submissions" so to speak. Most permit. Never forget "Save the changes" before leaving.
For the new version of WordPress, a screen like this:

o Pie de página”. Here we see that we have several bars where to place them, not just the sidebar, in this case "WideSideBar" but we have several bars and various places like the "Footer and Footer." This is because the Theme we have chosen for this blog has many possibilities where to add a Widget. But that should not worry. ” significa que será mucho más sencillo organizar la información. If your Theme is just "Sidebar 1" and "Sidebar 2" means it will be much easier to organize information.
In this case, to add a widget, we just have to drag it to the "gray box" where we want to host it and drop it there. It goes without saving changes, since once dragged the widget to the sidebar or the option you choose, the change shall be made automatically. Then go to your site, refresh the page (CTRL + F5) and see the changes made.
So far, I recommend using the latest version in Castilian that is available to avoid dealing with another language and we complicate the existence in some cases.

Hi Adrian, first congratulate you for the excellent work you do on this website. On the other hand, how I get the Calendar widget placed as to not start on Monday and if the day Sunday as a traditional calendar? Can I change or not?
I do not understand why you start a Monday.
I would appreciate this problem solutions.
Greetings!
Hi Eduardo!
The calendar takes on Monday as the beginning of the week, but you can modify the menu "Options / General".
I invite you to stay away from reading the same post where you explain this to me pressing queries HERE
Best regards!
Hi Adrian I ask because I was looking for here and I found how to put a clock and calendar
Walking Internet there are people that explains it but the HTML cogigo I realize where I would go to my blog and they all say that place where I want
From already thank you very much
Hi Gonzalo, to place a calendar on your Blog you can use one of the widgets available called "Calendar". You just have to drag it to the area of the sidebar where you want to appear, as explained above.
And to put a clock, you can grab the HTML that makes up this watch and place in a " Text Widget "and view it on the sidebar.
But you can also get the same HTML code and place it between the source code of any of the files belonging to the structure of the Blog, or you can edit files through the editor indicated by the menu "Appearance". When inserted into the code, you can go see where is located and you will be running it until you find the right place for that clock.
It is not easy and you must be careful not to change the rest of the code to not deconstruct the blog and there is a fatal error.
As always recommend to everyone working with source code, please have a backup file via FTP to replace the file that could be damaged by any changes to your original code.
Greetings!
